Hi,

Just started taking Saw Palmetto daily, and using Nizoral 2% once every 3 days.
Also using Oenobiol for hair loss (pumpkin seed).
Will this do any effect on my hair loss? I think my hair loss is a little stress related since it accelerated at a stressfull time.

Tryed dercos shampoo and it irritated my scalp badly and while on it my hair loss duplicated. Does this mean that I'm allergic to Minoxidil. I'm afraid of trying it because if I loose a lot more hair like with dercos, my hair loss will become a lot noticiable

Hi dm222,

There is currently no scientific evidence that Saw Palmetto and Oenobiol will do anything to help hair loss. Nizoral 2% should help because the active ingredient in it which is Ketoconazole has been shown to help hair loss.

Using Dercos shampoo causing your scalp to get irritated does not mean you're allergic to Minoxidil. I don't know much about the products you're using, but if you're using topical treatments to help regrow hair and they don't contain any Minoxidil, it's probably not going to do anything to help hair loss.

They don't need to study the effects as it has been used by many guys attempting to go the "natural route" for many years. I used a supplement early on that contained a high dose of saw palmetto and it did very little if anything to stop my hair loss. It will not do anything for you either. If you want to do something to stop your hair loss you have to get on proven treatments.
