Yo.

Im in mid-20's.

Previously used minoxidil with ridiculous success on Retin-A. (5% minoxidil) big regrowth.

Diffuse thinning, getting very severe.

One week and been on the following:

8% RU mixed in 5% minoxidil solution. (I used 5grams in a 60mL minoxidil bottle)

It mixed well with no residue. Liquid is now light yellow in colour.

I read somewhere here someone else doing the same with success..

What should I expect.

I duno - maybe a little regrowth

If you're serious about fighting hair loss long term you should be on finasteride though. Topicals only go so far....

I'm pretty sure RU is alot more powerful than finasteride.

I'm also pretty sure that minoxidil gives better regrowth than finasteride too.

I think finasteride is the inferior drug here.

Regardless, Ive used finasteride.. Im the poor c*** who had reflex hyper.

Wow. I've never heard of anybody else who claimed to make an 8% solution of RU58841. In fact, a lot of other guys have even been unable to make a 5% solution, much less 8%. Are you absolutely sure it's completely dissolving? :)

Oh, I wouldn't say that. In the stumptailed macaque tests, topical RU58841 was a little more effective than oral finasteride (and LARGE doses of finasteride, too, I might add). I can't think of any a priori reason why the same thing wouldn't be true in humans, too.

I put 5g into a 60mL minoxidil solution... stirred it... it dissolved.. then I left it for 30 mins... checked the bottom... no residue.... left again... checked again... no residue..

So it dissolved! lol. I didnt think I could either.. but it did.. and easily.

Wow. That's all I can say: WOW. If you could see all the posts I've seen where guys were pissing and moaning about how much trouble they were having getting the stuff to dissolve AT ALL, you'd say the same thing! :)

I do suggest to you, though, that you're probably overdoing it a little. I'd at least cut in half the amount you're using, especially considering how god-awful expensive and difficult it is to get. A 4% solution should be more than enough for you.

I got cash to burn.. so the $$$ isn't an issue. I dont mind spending a few grand each year.. its the hassle I wanna avoid.

I wanted to use 5%.. but he sent me 2x 5g bags.. and I wasnt confident on splitting it up.. and the minoxidil was already prepared so I thought f*** it.. do it.. if it doesnt dissolve.. use another 60mL and make a 4%.

But its dissolved.. the liquid is light yellow now.. and last night I help up the dropper to spot some possible residue.. nope.. all clear

Thinking about it... 8% RU and 5% minoxidil should return me back to when I was 12 yrs old.

Only thng standing in my way is possible sebum.. I wash every night 30 mins prior to application... but it may not be removing the sebum from the follicle walls.

Either way I gotta use accutane in a few months as acne starting to return.. and last time I used accutane when I was using minoxidil.. in 1 month my hair went SONIC BOOM.. my crown filled in.. my temples thickened up.. i forgot all about hairloss... then I stopped accutane... oily scalp returned.. i was still using minoxidil but hair started falling out.. so i figured the sebum stopped the minoxidil doin its job

You should take finasteride along with accutane the RU and minoxidil...

Your hair will be so thick

if i would make a topical i would disolve the asc-j9 in ethanol with 30% glycerin in it....

maybe next month...

seems to me its better to break down the receptors at the hairfollikels then to block them...

interesting!

what dose accutane were you on?

it´s being debated wether or not it can help for hairloss... I used it for acne way before hair loss was an issue. Still have acne though so maybe it can help both..

I was taking 20mg a day for moderate acne.

What I suspect happened was the accutane cleared the follicle walls completely so any topical I used, went straight down to the core of the follicle without interference.. it was basically allowing a free flow of minoxidil.. and when I ceased accutane and my scalp became oily again.. the follicle walls clogged up again, stopping minoxidil from sliding down.. because I was still using minoxidil normal but my hair started falling out by the 100's.

How could ANY dose of Accutane, even a large one (and you were only taking a pretty modest dose) supposedly "clear the follicle walls completely" of sebum? Take, for example, a garden hose: whether you have the water faucet wide-open and it's gushing water at the end of the hose full-blast, or whether you have it turned on only slightly and it's only dribbling a little water at the end, the hose is STILL completely filled with water. It's the same with follicular canals: they're always filled up with sebum, regardless of how much sebum you're producing.

Bryan in ONE Month.. ONE Month.. I doubled the amount of hair I had (Im a diffuse thinner) after starting Accutane.

Accutane turns the sebum gland off or at least minimizes it. If it minimizes it then there must be open passages where topicals can slide down. A dribbling tap doesnt block a hose.. it only blocks a hose with a sealed end.. it will block about 20% of the hoses circumference

where do you get your accutane mate?

the logic makes sense but the common consensus seems to be that accutane casues hair loss more often than the opposite
