Will this be a Nizoral killer ?

I've been using Nizoral for the past half year, first the 1%, then the 2%.

Does anybody have any more info about the new shampoo that's coming out from the same people that make spectral dnc ?

It's supposed to also contain 2% Ketoconazole, I wonder if a prescription will be required ? How can they sell it without one, while a prescription is required for Nizoral 2% ?

The shampoo is called revita, and it's already supposed to be out in november. Has anybody seen this stuff for sale online anywhere ? The ingredients look impressive. I wonder how much it will cost. I could care less about dandruff, since I don't have any, so I'll be getting a bottle of revita as soon as I can get my hands on it, and I might never use Nizoral again, as long as the price isn't crazy ridiculous for revita, we'll see.

Primary ingredients:

Apple Polyphenol
Copper Peptides
Spin Traps
Ketoconazole 2%
Caffeine 4%
MSM
Biotin
Emu Oil
Rooibos Tea
Carnitine Tartrate
Amino Acids: Ornitine, Taurine, Cysteine

From HLH forum:
I talked to divine skin on the phone today, about there problems with spectral dnc, and they were very nice about it, my 2 new bottles are on the way, from the recall batch. I also spoke to them about there new shampoo, that looks very promising, they told me like november 15 it should be released, it does not contain 2% ketozone, it is only 1% so you dont need a prescription to get it. I think this shampoo is going to be very good, from the list of ingredients, as far as shampoos go. They also told me that anybody have more than a 2-3 week shed on spectral dnc, should stop using it, and go see a dermatoligist, they said over a 3 week shed is very uncommon, and not a goodthing.

I received this mail from DS:
Thank you for the interest in our new Hair Loss Shampoo Revita and also for
the suggestions.

Revita is still under development and many tests are being performed,
currently. Therefore it is possible that some changes might occur in the
ingredients and concentrations currently listed on the website. Please
continue visiting http://www.dslaboratories.com in order to obtain updated
information on Revita shampoo.

Hey, great ! Thanks for the info. Since it's only 1%, I'll still hold on to my Nizoral 2% and then use revita in addition to it probably. There must be a typo on the DS site, because they do mention 2%, but it still sounds impressive I guess. I wonder how much of a difference there really is between 1% Ketoconazole and 2% Ketoconazole, when it comes to helping hairloss.

Yes, they did mention 2%, and then in the mail they said it’ll be 1%.
I also asked them about a Ketoconazole free formula so we could use it daily, but they didn’t respond.

I’ve never tried to use Nizoral daily, some people can stand it, and some can’t even use it twice a week.

I’ve read many times in this forum that Ketocononazole 1% is as effective as 2%.

I found this after a quick google on an online store.

This product will be in stock on Thursday 30 November, 2006.

No price was listed yet.

I found this on the Spectral DNC page:
We recommend the use of the upcoming Revita shampoo 2 – 3 times a week to further enhance your treatment with Spectral DNC.
So I guess in the end it’ll be a Ketokonazole 1% non prescription formula.

Any word on this stuff? I've been waiting for a bit for this stuff to come out, and there are only a few weeks left in the year and it still isn't for sale.

best bet would be to email DS labs and ask them. their website blows and has no news or new info on anything.

I emailed them a couple weeks ago and they gave me the same speil. Still have no idea when it's hitting the market, where I can buy it, and how much it'll be.

This stuff sounds good. I hope it is at least 6 oz and under $40.

I read somewhere else this stuff will cost an absolute fortune - the price quoted was $260 a bottle.

Perhaps it was just the Nizoral admen scaremongering...

I can´t believe it to be that expensive. Nobody would spend that amount for a shampoo. I assume the price will be about 50 USD.

Has anyone used there other products? It looks like they have a monix foam as well. It says it also keeps the roots from stiffening. Does anyone have any experience with the DNC

All of the DS products cost around $35 - $40
I think the Revita shampoo should be around that price range.

I hope they get it out by the end of the year, because I’m going on vacation to Chicago and I want to save the shipping fee.

I hope so, because it sounds like good stuff. It's either this stuff or Dr Wilberforce's Hormone Hair Restorer.

Hey guys,

This Revita shampoo sounds pretty sweet, but I haven't done much research on it. I see that it contains keto along with some other goodies. I assume that it contains keto 1% so that it can be sold over the counter?

Do you guys know if this is meant to be used every day, or only 2-3 times a week like Nizoral? Thanks.
