Doesn't really work that way though. Pharma companies don't give a sh*t about the dermatologists or hair transplant surgeons. They care about making money and that is it. If they can create a multi-billion dollar drug, they damn well are going to create it. The issue is I don't think they're ever going to find an actual cure for hair loss.I don't believe a cure would ever be released. Pharmaceutical companies make customers, not cures. If a cure was discovered, there goes hair transplant's, propecia, rogaine, the countless other snake oil products out there. Can't see this happening.
A cure for hair loss isn't going to be some cheap pill. It is going to probably be something stem cell related and is going to cost a fortune. It will cost the companies selling these services a lot of money, so there is no possible way they could sell it to you cheap. It most definitely will not be affordable to most, at least not for a long time. I think affordable better treatments will come out, but nothing that significant.i dunno, i would 'think' the manufacturer of 'the cure for baldness' wouldnt give a sh*t about rogaine, etc. and they would actually WANT that markets business. Therefore if ya price it affordable, more can afford it. We're talkin MILLIONS of men worldwide. Compared to a select few rich dudes...

It's not up to pharmaceuticals to either have a cure or withhold a cure. If someone finds a cure (Tsuji/Riken in this case) and they want to run clinical trials to make it a commercial treatment, some pharmaceutical like Pfizer will have nothing to say about it.
dude what companies have you got most faith in at the moment?
im balding pretty fast man, i cant hold out much longer.
you hopeful by 2020 we'll all be saved?
if some people on this board can actually afford 'the cure' when it arrives, why not just get a hair transplant? probably much cheaper no? serious question...
Hair transplant isn't even an option for many people.if some people on this board can actually afford 'the cure' when it arrives, why not just get a hair transplant? probably much cheaper no? serious question...

Ok forget what I said about Pharma companies, IF a cure is developed, is this even going to be affordable to the average person? If not, it may not be deemed worthwhile financially if the costs of production outweigh what people can afford. Not to sound so negative about a cure, but been hearing about "cures" for decades now and something has always happened, either companies have gone bankrupt or just seemed to abandon what they were doing for whatever reason. It's always been a case of "the cure is just 5 years away", you can only hear that so many times before becoming very cynical about it.
When the product is first released will it be affordable or is it gonna be a stupid price $$$$?
