Will switching from Propecia to Proscar affect my hair?

I just got my first prescription of Propecia and it cost me $75 dollars for 30 pills, so after I use these pills for 30 days, I am going to ask my derm to switch from propecia to proscar because propecia is just too expensive.

My question is, will switching from propecia to proscar cause something negative to my hair?

I plan on cutting the proscar pill 1/4.
