Will small bald spot be less noticeable if I shave head #3?

The spot's about the size of a penny with small thin hairs still left in that area. If I buzz my head with a #2 or #3 guard will the spot be more detectable or will it blend in better?

If anyone has done this and has some before/after pics, post them...

Longer than a #1 or #2 will probably make it more noticeable, you need to keep it very short to make it blend in with the surrounding hair.

is it alopecia? If so you should try minoxidil - it's supposed to work really well with alopecia, especially the strong forms. Another thing - i've seen people with alopecia areata and shaved heads and it looks ok, but sometimes the skin losesd pigmentation so if this is the case then it is a different story.

All baldness is a form of alopecia except for Telogen Effluvium induced thinning. male pattern baldness is androgenentic alopecia.
