Will Rogaine foam work interchangeably with liquid minoxidil?

I mainly use the liquid store brand minoxidil because it's cheaper, but I also have a bottle of Rogaine foam. I mainly use the liquid minoxidil, but if I'm in a hurry or feeling like crap, I use the Rogaine foam because it's easier and faster.

Is it okay to use these two products interchangeably?

well ive read in previous post that some experience a shed when they changed from liquid to foam or vice verse

it sounds like you mostly use the liquid and sometimes the foam

for me i use liquid at night because it makes my hair look like sh*t and the foam during the day "for that clean look"

there shouldn't be a problem with using various versions of minoxidil 5% its all the same although i think its probably good to be consistent with your regiment IMO

cheers

Thanks. The liquid minoxidil makes my hair look like a greaseball. This is mainly because I use a ml or so on the front and top of my scalp.

If I have a date or an event to attend I won't use any minoxidil becuase without it my hair looks much cleaner and thicker.

I only use the foam maybe once or twice a week because I assume it's better to do it that way then to miss a dose, becuase sometimes I just can't deal with that liquid crap on my head; like when I'm really tired in the morning.

I currently am using Dr. Lee's 5% liquid at night and Foam during the day mainly because Foam caused me so much bloating by itself. Not sure if I'm getting less bloating now, but I think so. A lot of people mix, but the general consensus seems to be its best to stick to one. However, I may even switch to Lee's 5% day and night since its not really greasy at all and seems to dry very quickly compared to Rogaine Liquid or Kirkland, which are both so nasty I can't tolerate using that stuff at night let alone in the day.

Thanx for advice here. I'll try this Dr. Lee 5% when I run out of my current store brand minoxidil supply. The walmart minoxidil that I use is a nightmare for styling for the longer haired folk... and you can't just put on a hat b/c it'll get soaked up.

You just have to look like a greasy, dirty haired fool and suck it up... not to mention that it causes my hair to appear thinner.

They are interchangeable but are kind of like changing the dose. I think you might have to use more foam than liquid to keep the same effects.
