Will Finasteride Save Me Or Am I Doomed?

So bacially I’m about to turn 19 and just realized my hairline is fucked. About 6 months ago from pictures it was normal. It seems to have receded awfully fast. I have been under a ton of physical/mental stress recently and looking at photos of me the receding started about a 2 months after this started. However it looks to me like male pattern baldness. I will look sh*t bald so yea. Will Finasteride maintain me or am I destined Norwood 7. Btw my dad is 50 and has crown balding and has balded at a extremely slow rate. Thanks for the replies

I can't really see anything obvious. You think your hairline moved up or do you think your hair is thinning all over?

It’s receded I’m 95% sure at the temples. Haven’t noticed thinning but idk. Here is better overlook view.

You can start nizoral and minoxidil for now. You might be too young for finasteride. Talk to a dermatologist if you want to try finasteride.

Tough to tell. Depends on how aggressive your hair loss is. However, getting on a good regimen and being very consistent with it will definitely slow it down. If you're lucky, it will stop it, and if you're super lucky it will reverse it.

Ik but still depressing that I eventually will. My dad started balding from the crown in his late 20s. It has been extremely slow and he has a decent size bald spot on the back now that he is 50. No noticeable frontal recession although his hair is thinner all over. Moms side has no balding. My maternal grandfather is almost a Norwood 0 at 70. Got better hair than me ffs. This is why I don’t understand why I’m getting fucked by it at 18. No one in my family ever went bald this early.
