Will Finasteride cause shedding? (18 year old male, just been prescribed Propecia)

Well, I'm an 18 year old male with a thick full head of hair, but I have some minor (early stages) of the thinning of the crown. My temples are also miniaturizing. Essentially I am in the very early stages of male pattern baldness so I decided to catch it early.

I just got prescribed Propecia, so will I see some early shedding once I start taking it?

Good on ya for fighting this early. finasteride doesnt typically cause much shedding in people, Minoxidil is much worse for that.

Probably not if you haven't got much miniaturisation.
