Will dutasteride hurt my hairline?

I've been on finasteride for 1 yr and 8 months. At the one year mark, I had a lot of inflammation along and behind my hairline that really thinned it out. I had to quit minoxidil because I thought maybe the PG in it caused a reaction because I developed a rash under my armpit and was becoming sensitive to my colognes as well. I haven't had any regrowth there and that was 8 months ago.

Would dutasteride help me or hurt me? I know it increases scalp test by over 100% but I want to hear from someone that has made the switch.

It would be slighter more effective than finasteride in terms of long term maintenance but no difference noticeably in terms of regrowth. The idea that dutasteride makes your hairline worse is BS. That's not how the drugs work

I guess finasteride is to weak to hold the hairline. I just read so much about it killing the hairline. Sucks
