uping up the dosage isn't always helpful. i think a pill a day already brings your DHT levels close to zilch, so doing two pills a day will mostly be a waste of your money. plus, though i'm certain that avodart is a relatively safe drug, i still wouldnt feel safe using too much of any drug. i highly recommend against doing two a day

it wont decrease serum DHT, but it will decrease scalp DHT, which IMO is more important. You might as well take 2 avodart in the morning because the half-life is very long. I take 5 dutasteride a day with no more sides that being on finasteride.

no, been on 5 dutasteride a day now for 6 months,hair is thicker on top, but hairline is weaker. Perhaps due to increase in testosterone. I feel actually better now than on finasteride....weird. I dont think side effects are worse with higher doses of dutasteride....but everyone is different.

Monty where do you get your dutasteride from? The only worry I have is that the dutasteride is fake and therefore we have less sides. I get mine from alldaychemist.com. I am going to have my DHT levels tested next week. Will let you know the outcome.

I'm taking four a day, and the only side I've had is that I hardly get morning wood anymore. But libido is definitely strong. My sex drive has increased like nuts over the past few years. So ... I don't really know.
Besides that, growth on top, frontal still receeding but slower.
Not sure what else to report.

I got mine from alldaychemist (dutas - dr reddy's) , very cheap, but I am not 100% sure whether it is legit. Therefore, I have also ordered different brands of dutasteride from inhousepharmacy and unitedpharmacy. I recently ordered dutasteride powder from elitenetpharmacy (5 grams). If the powder is real then I will save a lot of money. If I would use 5mg a day it would last 2.5 years!

I would like to ask all those that report "regrowth on top, but receding hairline" to post their testosterone and DHT levels. There is a lot of myths circulating on the internet and one of the most curious ones is the idea that dutasteride destroys hairline. At the same time, scientific studies showed that the more testosterone is produced by dutasteride, the better the results are. These experiences simply don't make sense - except the cases of some unfortunate hyperandrogenic persons.
