Will ALL minoxidil products Give Same Sides??

Hello everybody, how is everyone doing?
In the past I used Kirkland 5% minoxidil with success. However I had to quit after about 1.5 years as it was going systemic causing me to get wrinkles on my face and facial bloating. No, I didn't allow it to drip on my face or forehead. HAS ANYONE HAD SIDE EFFECTS ON KIRKLAND BRAND BUT THEN HAD NO SIDES WHEN THEY SWITCHED TO ANOTHER BRAND? Thanks, most appreciated!! I had sides with Finasteride as well so I'm desperately looking for an effective option. Thank you

If you are talking about 5% liquid, then yes all will give you the same sides if you experience sides on one brand. Now foam or any other minoxidil that does not contain PPG may be better for you but it depends on what caused your sides. It could be the PPG or it could be the Minoxidil itself. If it is the minoxidil you are reacting to than any product will most likely do the same thing.

Yea, i'm thinking it is the minoxidil and not the PPG because the PPG would not cause me to get facial bloating and wrinkles. I'm thinking the liquid actually was penetrating too well in that it was penetrating the skin layers and going systemic. It would be cool if their was actually a minoxidil product that doesn't penetrate as well!! Most people want it to penetrate but not in my case. Not that I cared but anaother sign it was going systemic was that my leg hairs were growing a little more and also darker, hmmm. Any ideas?

hi mate,it is not the PPG .i was using minoxidil 2% (without PPG)and gave me great results but caused many wrinkles under my eyes and puffy face.so i decided to change the brand and used 5 % really i didn't see any side effect with it,i was about to go mad how the 2% give these horrible effects and the 5% not,after searching plus iam a medical studenti found that
you may use 2% dissolved in ethanol or any penetration substance with great concentration and reach your systemic circulation in the same time u can use 5% dissolved in low concentrated penetration substance which can't reach to your system
now i use the 5 % 2ml per day without any side effects at all
i wish this could help

my experience with minoxidil is similar to hany's......
But here it goes.

I first tried spectral dnc. I used this for a couple of weeks and did not notice any sides on it. I stopped due to the fact that i heard that their formulas were messed up.

Then i ordered kirkland minoxidil 5%....Upon applying kirkland i would get immediate sides such as sore eyes and tenseness in my face around my eyes. I stopped after a few weeks because this would happen everytime i applied it. I also thought my skin started to look a little worse on it but wasnt sure but that is not why i quit, it was because of the sore eyes and headache that worried me.

I then bought a 2% generic minoxidil from activis and after a day i visually could see the effects it had on my face. It was unmistakeable and i had bloated rougher looking skin the next day. I have started and stopped using this minoxidil 3 different times to judge its effects and it happened everytime.

Now I think spectral is the way to go on the account of all of the other ingredients that are combined in its formula. It probably somehow dilutes the minoxidil or maybe its the nanosomes in which the mnox is encapsulated that maybe stop the side effects. I really have no idea but this is what i will be using. Its better than nothing and I didnt have sides when i was using it unlike the basic minoxidil formulas such as kirkland and other generics.

thought so....i have heard similar instances such as yours regarding using generic with sides and rogaine brand 5% without em. Even though it is said that kirkland and rogaine contain the exact ingredients. :dunno:

are you talking about concentration of minoxidil or ppg?....

Are you saying rogaine's concentration of ppg allows less absorption?

all the minoxidil brands have minoxidil and PPG but it differs in the concentration which permits high penetration and absorption and of course greater absorption affects your systemic circulation

does xandrow 5 have high penetration and absorption ?
