Will a hair system damage existing folicles?

I'm thinking of getting a hair system before I take the plunge on an FUE transplant.

Will the "glue" from a hair system damage existing folicles on the top of my head?

Doubt it just shave the area weekly.

I have been wearing a few years and if anything my hair seems to be growing even stronger. I need to buzz it regularly.
