Yeah my dermatologist prescribes me Avodart for hair loss.
I was already on proscar that I got off the internet when I went to see him, lol. So he couldn't really say no to me taking it since I'd already proven I could tolerate it well after being on it for 3 weeks by the time I saw him. Then I switched to Avodart with a script from Medical Wellness Center and then when I saw my derm agin a few months later, I told him I had switched to Avodart myself , haha, and he wrote me a script for 6 months worth. When I went back 6 months later he said if I was tolerating it fine then he can get by with seeing me only once a year, so now I am going to see him once a year and at each annual appt he will give me a script for 90 pills plus 3 refills of 90 pills. The most you can prescribe for is a year.
