that's not a widow's peak.

this is a widow's peak:

that's what most of us have to deal with

QC, actually Lazy has a true widow's peak. Jude Law's hair loss pattern resembles a widow's peak but is not true one. Rassman talked about the widow's peak on his blog. I was surprised to hear that the true widow's peak is a remanent of your juvenile hairline. I have a true widow's peak and its thinning out very slowly just like Lazy's peak.

So for you i'm really thinning there?

But then... why would my derm tell me that i wasn't balding and that i was just maturing? she even checked me under magnification she just said i was a little thin or that i had very slightly miniaturization at my left temple but that i wasn't balding just "maturing" because there was no hairloss beyond that, and i even emailed her the photos of my widow's peak from July, she said i was perfect.

And also.. she's recognized as the best in the state and she seemed to know a LOT but i guess she lied to me because she felt bad or something...

You're not balding and just maturing (at least, the evidence suggests it). Everyone's hairline changes as they age. A lot of young guys start to freak out when their hairlines change, or temples recess a little. That happens to almost all men. If you were thinning elsewhere, say, the crown for example, then you might be balding. But losing your widow's peak probably isn't a sign of male pattern baldness. Just a sign of genetics getting rid of it as you age.

Well, maybe but i've been wondering something, would you call this still a possible "mature hairline"?
http://puu.sh/4DBPE.jpg white line is my hairline since forever, red lines are the zones that are a little thin
pic without lines: i.imgur.com/VdLdEqo.jpg

i mean, that zone in red, is that still hairline or is it something further it?

I've noticed that you have posted many times asking the very same questions. nothing wrong with that. but it's like if someone says your hair is thinning, you get a bit defensive saying that your've checked with your doctor who is the best in the state and according to her, there is nothing wrong with your hair. but if someone says your hair is fine, you go like,.. what about this part/that part of my hair in these pictures? it's thinning, isn't it?

again, nothing wrong with questioning and all...but if you think you are thinning, go do something about it. otherwise trust your doctor...cheers

nono it's ok but i've never asked that before, about the extent of my thinning, what do you think?
I think I feel really sorry for your OCD/anxiety about your hair. I told you this before, you keep asking for reassurance but you won't accept it. What do you want us to say and we will say it? Tell me and I will tell you. If we tell you, your thinning would you believe us? If we tell you that your hair is fine, would you believe us? Who do you believe more your doctor or us? And let's just say you get a second opinion from another doctor and they tell you something that is the opposite of your first doctor, who are you going to believe? There is only one way to solve your problem. Take the HairDx test and see if you have the gene for balding. If you do, then what would you do next? You are on a roller coaster ride and you can't even accept the truth no matter what it is. Stop asking for answers you won't even accept. You got far worse problems than hair. My advice is to seek professional mental health because you obviously can't accept anyone's opinion including your own.

Maybe you're right, i can't accept anyone's opinion, the most obvious choice would be to believe the doctor since she's a professional and studied like 15 years about hair.. but you know the ocd and the anxiety started way before the hair worries started so the hair thing just worsened it.

Also i just noticed my right temple is not as thick as it was 2 months ago, i mean, it's not "thin" but it's not as super thick as it was, so, both temples apparently thinning at the very edges and the widows peak too, since i asked the doctor "what about my right? it's super thick", she said: "it will follow the left one too, but you're not balding just maturing"

Uggh, guess the best thing to do is wait 6 months or 1 year and see what happens?

ok this is hell... now i'm starting with the fear that im thin at front... i don't know if it's irrational but i am very anxious, therapy's not working and everyone seems to say the same thing "You're perfect!"

in front of spotlights i can see scalp showing a little and the derm never saw miniaturization there wow wtf am i doing...
Lazy, just remember you have low density(thats just how your genetics are and thats NOT considered balding) all over and on top of that have baby fine hair or fine hair so you are going to see scalp no matter what unless you grow your hair longer and push your hair straight down and wear the first Just Bieber hairstyle with long bangs. The hairline is less dense and thinner for everyone unless you have thick Hispanic or Indian hair which is naturally of super high density. That is my dream hair but I did not get it and neither did you so just accept you have hair that can fool the world into believing you have great hair. I totally understand how you feel as we have identical hair. However, I keep my hair cut at length and style so no scalp really shows. You need to do the same so you won't focus so much on your hair. I have OCD with my hair too so I know how you feel but you need to understand that your mental issue is what needs to be addressed so you can lose focus on your hair obsession.

Thanks for answering, actually i've always had straight hair but great density, of folicles or... quantity? i don't know but i understand, i too wish i could have one of those indians hairs...

But it's bugging me a lot, last time i was checked under magnification by a derm was at July 22th or so, i was told that my left temple was a liittle thin at the edge, but that the other zones of my hair had no miniaturization.. my question es

Could it be possible that just in two months my hair miniaturized to a point where it is visible to the eye?

The sad thing of this is that i was about to get a cute girlfriend and now i'm not sure if i should keep talking to her because i don't want her to leave me by the time i'm thinned all out at the front..
