i think its this. men arent supposed to be pretty. they are supposed to be strong. women on the other hand are supposed to be pretty, they are even called the fair sex.

so its supposed that men dont care about their looks and so you can make jokes about their handicaps.

thats even the reason why people laugh about men wearing wigs but not about women wearing wigs.
