I am taking both,
MSM 4g daily
Biotin 1200mcg daily.
I have been doing so for about two months and I have not noticed any improvement in my hair strength as I still shed aggressively.
On the other hand MSM appears to make my hair grow quicker, however my hair has always grown at a rapid pace so as to whether or not my account of the effects yielded by MSM need to be taken with a grain of salt.
I have heard before that it is best to take Biotin in a time released format of up to 2000mcg.
Maxi Hair by Country Life would be the ideal supplement which contains some MSM also however I recommend getting some desperately MSM to bolster results.
