Why is stress sad to trigger or speed up male pattern baldness (in those susceptible)?

Can it really increase the rate of balding? How?

Said by whom?
Experts? or just people looking for excuses like the ones who also blame working out, masturbating, bad diet, poor circulation, shampoo's, drinking milk, eating meat ...... ect ect ect.

I started balding during a period of high stress and nutrition so horrible that I think I had Telogen Effluvium for a year. In 2008 I lost over 60 pounds between May and December and was eating less than a thousand calories a day many days. A lot of that was candy like cherry slices. I think this period triggered my balding. I certainly don't have my maternal grandfather's hair genes (if I did I wouldn't get male pattern baldness no matter what) but I think I may have my paternal grandfather's and father's hair genes. They both got similar hair loss but it is mostly crown loss and maybe Norwood 2-2.5 recession. Also, it started around age 40 for both of them. I think that would have been what happened to me but I started the process earlier by having Telogen Effluvium caused by several combined factors.
