Hi Everyone,

I too am fighting my hair loss like everyone else here on this forum. However, I'm still really confused as to why my hair is falling. This has started about 6-8 months back and I'm losing A LOT of hair primarily from the top and sides. I am also losing hair at the back of my head, but not as much as the rest of my scalp. Now, heres the weird part. I went for a whole bunch of tests and everything came back well.

Thyroid - 0.93ulU/ml well within range (lower side)
Free Testosterone - 13 pg/ml (on the lower side ref 4.5 - 42 mg/ml)
Iron - 156ug/dl well within range
CBC - all good
LFT- all good
Ferritin level - all good

My hair line is intact but I'm losing hair from all over. This is very worrying. I've been on minoxidil since January of this year and its still "shedding".. dont know whether its shedding or not. I'm losing strong healthy hair, not miniaturized ones. Over the past 6-8 months I've lost a very significant amount of hair. I cant hide the bald spots anymore. My diet is good and I'm currents on multivitamins and using Nizoral 4 times a week. With my Testosterone levels so low, how can I be losing so much hair due to DHT.

My father is kinda bald, but he got bald only in his early 50s. In my moms side of the family, the men are not bald.

If someone has any ideas as to why I'm losing hair, I'd really appreciate it.. PLEASE HELP a fellow sufferer. I'm 26..pics up shortly..

Interesting.

So do you have any reason at all to suspect male pattern baldness? Does it follow any male pattern baldness-associated patterns or it is just all over?

Thyroid, allergic reactions, sometimes lifestyle things, I dunno, all these things can make a difference. Autoimmune responses, etc.

I know it's not very nice, I personally hate losing hair too, let's see if we can get to the bottom of this anyway!

Personally as well I fall into the camp that says that too low T is bad too, I think it's best kept within certain levels, and estrogen is best kept fairly low, but who knows I might be wrong :)

Hopefully we can help you out anyway! :)
