It's funny, well not funny (very depressing)!!! my facial hair is thinning/miniatuizing at the same rate as my scalp hair! they are coinciding.... the thinning/miniaturizing, the color changes (my facial hair used to be medium brown now its copper reddish, my scalp hair used to be light brown now its looking copper blondish) whats going on?

would vitamin deficiencies due something like this? I read that copper deficiency can cause hair pigmentation to change but would it also induce miniaturization all over the scalp and face?

maybe it isn't male pattern baldness since balding men usually have greater body hair growth than before they went balding. is the hair on your back and sides thinning too??? if so, then its not male pattern baldness and u should see a derm.

YES!!!!! my hair is uniformly thinning/miniaturizing all over my head (top, sides, back, front, side burns, facial hair) I have no recession, no balding, just total rapid miniaturization... not to mention that my original brown color scalp hair/ facial hair is turning to a copperish blonde color!! also pubic hair is not as coarse and kind of sparse, I have no additional body hair growth either!

I need to get to a hairloss specialist asap.....

If you're losing hair all over your body consider looking into alopecia universalis. It's autoimmune.

I do not know if there is a cure.

this is not true. your sides and back can still thin if you have male pattern baldness. less likely, and prob not to the same degree, but it happens.

i agree he should do a derm but it's prob still male pattern baldness.

Im not losing hair all over my body....... LOL

I thought when hair miniaturizes it happens between growth cycles.... The hair grows, falls out, then is replaced by a thinner/miniaturized hair!!

My hair is miniaturizing as it grows, I have no shedding..... my hair still grows fast and long but its just keeps miniaturizing as it grows...

What do you not understand about thinning facial hair too?

I have this same exact problem I've been diffuse thinning for 9 years without any bald spot. My hair went from dark brown to a red copper to a dull light brown. My facial and body hair is sparse, I've been diagnosed with everything from male pattern baldness to Diffuse alopecia areata. My honest belief is that this is a hormone related hair loss. Is facial hair loss seen in DUPA traditionally?

Anyone know what happened to Shyguy, I've found several of his posts from other sites but he went ghost as of December of '06

He moved on that was posted over 10 yrs ago

You talk to him personally???

I know the post was over 10 years ago but often time people stick around on forums.

Heres my thing, everyone knows how stressful hair loss can be. Especially when you don't understand the root cause. So I have to follow every lead I can find that relates to my unusual unpatterned hair loss. What was your point in even replying??

Have a nice day my dude
