One thing that is consistently pervalent throughout hairloss boards is the spew of conflicting reports of whether a medication does or does not work, where the medication can and can't work, and whether or not medication A causes side effect B. It's extemely bad. There is science to this, and much of it is well-established and agreed upon, but not by the general consensus. Examples include the myth that minoxidil does not work on the front of the scalp, that nizoral 1% is less effective than 2%, and that propecia does or does not cause shedding. People are being given all sorts of right and wrong information and it's time we collectively agree upon the science that exists on hairloss. A sticky must be made for new board members seeking the science, and not Jerry's opinion.
