Why Does Rogaine Claim 9 Our Of 10 Have Results?

Hey all, i dont use Rogaine myself but oral minoxidil instead. I was reading the rogaine/regaine website and it claimed that 9 out of 10 experienced maintenance or regrowth when obviously that is not the case, are they allowed to do this? And why do they do this?
I figured this would be an interesting topic to discuss :)

Because in their study they conducted, 9/10 responded positively. This was lucky as further studies have shown.

Or bias, i rarely read about guys with positive experiences with topical minoxidil.
Also do you happen to have any links to other minoxidil studies? Ive never read one about minoxidil, only finasteride haha

Search "minoxidil ncbi", there are a large amount of studies, I including long term (5 - 10 years)

I've had success with topical minoxidil.

I felt it helped a little like I could see tiny hairs starting to get longer, but its a pain in the butt doing it everyday to see nothing ever change. I only did it once a day, but they advise twice a day so maybe doing that it would work better. Would all those tiny colorless hairs ever turn into real hairs though? I have my doubts, and if they dont what is really the point
Wetting my hairline down with this crap everyday made it look worse so I just stopped. The results for the effort of using it everyday didnt seem worth it to me.

Aren't the real success rates (i.e.,regrowth) more in the 40% - 60% range? It can be helpful for some guys but for some guys it won't do a whole lot.

I'm using for almost 1 year with such great results. My progress has been a constant, every 3 months i can see improvement. My hairline and temples had regrowth and the majority of the vellus hair in the beginning had become darker and more thicker. I think i have keeped all my hair in this since i started.

I use twice a day and rarely miss. Like i said, it's been a year on it and now i'm clearly seeing results, so be patient. The most of the days will suck and you'll be tired and lazy but you have to put in your mind that you need to do this sh*t everyday on your life if you don't want to go bald.

Minoxidil is one of the best treatments for baldness, just behind propecia, and has no side effects. So, stick with it.

Minoxidil was completely useless for me, and possibly gave me scalp inflammation. Have quit that sh*t multiple times recently. Think I am done for good now. Isn't worth the money.

Comb_over im happy to hear that! I bet you don't have a comb over now? ;) lol
I hope i respond well to minoxidil. Finasteride so far has been a fail for me, no maintenance but accelerated frontal recession :(

Dralex i would try oral minoxidil, ive read about guys who topical did nothing for and when they tried oral that all changed and some got mega regrowth. Just a thought :)

I have definitely responded to minoxidil 5% foam so I guess I lucked out. More noticable with the crown area and less on hairline. Although I also take finasteride so it's hard to know how much each one has contributed to the hair re-growth

It's definitely a commitment though doing it twice daily.
