This is my first post so I apologize. Suddenly about a month or so after a concussion from football my hair seemed to be thinner than it was before, also a lot of the time my scalp hurts to the touch. My hairline hasn't receded at all. What should I do?

Here are some photos, is my hair thinning or am I imagining it?

After pictures (first two) before pictures (second two)

You will be bald in 2 weeks.

Joking.

Full head of hair. Justin Biber hairline. You look completely fine.

BUT!

Why are you not talking about this with your parents? That's a question that should worry you more than anything else.

Thank you much! That's what I really wanted to be told haha. I just didn't really think there was anything they could do about it so I didn't see a point. What about the difference between how much you can see my scalp in the 2nd and 3rd picture?

You are very young and people on the Internet are mostly assholes. So I would prefer you speak about it with your parents and maybe go to a dermatologist if you cant stop thinking about your hair. To make you feel better, you have blond hair. People with blond hair (I have too) you can see way way more easily to the scalp. Even if you have "good" hair you can see with heavy lights and/or sunlight a little bit of scalp.

How old is your father and how much hair he has? If your father isnt bald, you should not think about hairloss in the next years. If he is heavy balding or even bald, still relax but keep in my mind to see a dermatologist in some years.

Yeah for sure, well thanks a lot for your input. I'm suppose to go to the derm soon anyways so I'll just ask while I'm there. And my mom just laughed hah, I thought I was probably imagining it but I wanted to be sure. Anyways no my dad still has a youthful hairline like mine, same color hair and everything actually. But thank you so much

the male pattern baldness "feeling" for me was an intense itching. the itching is there all the time; touching the scalp makes no difference.
are your relatives BALD? that might give you a clue to your chances, if they are all bald chances are your mother and father both had the male pattern baldness gene and could have passed it down to you.
still at your age (14?) it is not worth worrying about for another 10 years
