Why do guys in their 20s get hairloss, whilst others well into their 40s lose it completely?

Take Ralph Finnes or Sting for example, both had great manes until recently.

It seems that nowadays more and more young guys are losing their hair early.
the question is - what has changed?

If you ask me im willing to bet it's because of internet pornography which makes guys jerk off more often, whenever they have free time.

i'm sure it caused my premature male pattern baldness.

 Yeah because that makes your hair follicles sensitive to DHT.

No, that elevates dht levels, thus making male pattern baldness start earlier.

No doubt about that--he was one of the first Norwoods I spotted waaay back when I first noticed I was losing and began scrutinizing every celebrity hairline on television.

He's been balding for as long as I remember... It's just part of his appearance and it actually suits him. I can't imagine Sting any other way.

Yeah but this is the thing. You have guys that get to Stings level of hairloss NOW in their early twenties, in the space of 2 years. Sting on the other hand gets to that level of balding in the space of 25 years. What is he doing differently then everybody else? Obviously his follicles are sensitive to DHT just as the other guy is.

Same goes for Ralph Fiennes.

Sting is an individual who has had noticeable hair loss for some time but it has not affected his popularity.

I think he is an individual who is able to attract people with his personality (in addition to his talent), and that has helped him to draw attention away from the fact that he is losing his hair.

People are interested in what he has to say and do not pay a lot of attention to his hair.

Can you explain to me why more rugby players (or any other strength/aggression based sport) aren't losing their hair? Surely if more testosterone = more hairloss then they'd all be losing their hair.

I present to you Martin Corry. 35 years of age who played rugby professionally for 14 years.
