The don't quite cause hair loss, they're just mild irritants. Which in a small way could contribute I suppose.. but not majorly.

I find it annoying too though, as I do get irritated by shampoos really easily, so I use non SLS shampoo when I'm not using Nizoral, then again, even the non SLS shampoos have similar detergants.. just ever so slightly less nasty. It has made a difference for me though :punk:

There are many different sodium lauryl formulaes I believe its the S L ammonia thats the worst type. S L sulphate is much more common.

And if I recall...this whole SLF thing started because of some GNC shampoo back in the 80's that was really really bad for hair. It had a terrible percentage of SLF and was recalled.
