IDK man, maybe because when it does work the before-after pictures are like night and day. From my observation, aggressive hair loss is almost always diffuse with or without recession.

As you probably already can guess it's because there's no completely bald areas yet and the hair has a better chance of strengthening with dht inhibition. My hair has thickened dramatically and I haven't even been on it a year yet.

Young people generally respond poorly because their baldness is more aggressive the earlier it starts.
