Why diffuse respond better to med than recede?

From reading another thread around here, seems to be a consensus that difffuse hair losers respond better to treatments than receders... Why is that?

diffusers mostly have some thin hair left (hair is THIN, not GONE), which is easier to thicken up than bald spots (like a receded hairline).

It's also because follicles at the temple are far weaker than top follicles, so the rate of thickening exceeds that of miniaturization for those follicles, but it will almost never exceed the rate of mini. for temples.
