appearances? It's perfectly acceptable for women to get plastic surgery, to use makeup to make themselves look younger than their age. But if a man gets a hairpiece he is rediculed. If a man gets a hair transplant, he is rediculed. I've had women tell me that they would dump guys who used rogaine or propecia because they said it was being dishonest.

i quite agree with you,in a way it is easy for a woman to go bald because they wear wigs anyway yet men it is not

men are expected to sit there and take it, despite it not being attractive losing your hair (sorry, but celebrity bald guys don't count, you could be a midget and get women if you are celebrity)... So with men, you're vain if you do a nythign about hairloss, and you're unnattractive if you lose your hair. So the best advice is to not lose your hair.

i disagree with recboi. It depends on your feelings about her. When you have love on someone you can forgive almost everything. Same happens with women.

Of course if i dont love a women with a plastic surgery then i wouldnt even think in dating her even if she was the most good looking women on earth.

This subject has been covered before, its not a masculine trait to be overly concerned about your attractivness.

If a women cares about you they care about how you feel. My wife is happy for me to take the propecia or not take it. Whatever makes me happiest. It would take a massive lack of empathy to ridicule someone for being bothered about hair loss. I am not about to let another persons failings as a human beings bother me or influence my decisions. Let em go to hell

I think ridicule re: hairpieces is due to most hairpieces looking ridiculous. Hair transplants have improved over the years, but even most "after" shots (presumably the best they can scrounge) posted by surgeons look "off."

...as for Rogaine and Propecia, I'm not sure why anyone would have to know if you didn't want them to know..... but that aside, the type of girls you refer to are not worth having.

I think they get rediculed simply because they did something. Everyone and their mother talks about Matt Mcchonehay's hair, even though whatever he did looks really good. That he simply did something, gets people speculating, and making fun of him. perhaps the media will discuss that a woman had breast implants, or got botox, but it was more like "she had one, here's how you can get one done to look like her!" rather than being the butt of jokes on TV.

Shame we don't like in the 17th and 18th centuries when men wore wigs and it was the style back then to do so.

not true at all. It is acceptable for anyone to look better. If you wear make up, and look better, and someone sees it, they may make fun of the make up, but that just means you won't get the same status as someone who looks that good naturally. You still will have higher status than you did before when you looked worse with no make up.

I don't like make up on women. Every man would rather a woman naturally look pretty. Every woman wants clear skin, instead of make up to cover blemishes. But if a woman has bad blemishes, and make up hides them, she can do better at dating with the make up than without. Now if the make up itself looks bad, which I've seen lots of, then it could hurt her. So when putting on dermmatch, you need to decide if it makes you look better. Even if a woman discovers my dermmatch, I'll still do better than if I did not have it on at all. She may think I'm wierd for putting make up on my hair, but better to be weird than bald.

Saying that hair treatments are dishonest is rediculous. That's like saying dieting and exercising are dishonest.

I've heard them say it's "genetic dishonest"... They were blabbing about how they wouldn't date a guy who had hair transplant or was on rogaine because they don't want their kids to lose their hair, and they cannot know if the guy has good genes or not if he's done something. So basically they were saying they want to know you're balding so they can avoid you......

Like hairwegoagain said, these women are certainly not worth your time.

They can't see genes for cancer, heart disease and a whole host of more serious genetically inherited predispositions. If they are worrying about their offspring having balding genes then they are seriously dumb. Especially when you consider the child is just as likely to inherit the hairloss gene from their mother. Are they going to not have children if their own father is bald or balding? Probably be a good thing - less stupid people in the world
