So I'm 23 years old. Been on finasteride 3 years with no success. I was planning on getting a full hormone test done before starting duta (haven't started yet), but my doctor fucked up and just had total testosterone and TSH tested. My TSH was normal at 1.90 (.450-4.500 uIU/ml), but my total testosterone was only 435 (348-1197). This seems insanely low for someone at 23. Online it was saying this is the average for someone at like 80-85 years old. Is there something I should do about this. I do have some of the symptoms, and have had them since the hair loss started, before starting finasteride. Tired all the time; depression; anxiety; no care for anything; low sex drive (assumed this was depression related; erection quality is normal). My lifts are actually at their highest ever (even though I have been more tired when lifting), so that is strange. I am planning on getting a more extensive hormone test done. What do you guys think I should get tested? Anyone else find this test number alarming? Any advice? Thanks for any responses.
