Well, I will say this...
If you count shedding, then yes, I have suffered frontal hairloss with dutasteride...
I begin my avodart treatment with a very high and receded hairline and thin crown. (NW5A) About four month later on the Big 3, I have very successfully filled my thinning crown to the degree it is only revealing under the sun/bright light. I still have a quarter-size vertex bald spot that just wouldn't fill in with the treatment and also concerning your question about the hairline, although Avodart has improved my frontal appearance drastically, unfortunately it has not improved my receded hairline to a satisfactory state. In sum, my hair still screams male pattern baldness to onlookers.
I refrained from posting my results in the success column because I see 0.5cm and near transparent vellus hair sprouting where my once receded hairline used to be at about the 2 month mark. Despite the fact that these vellus hair didn't grew any longer another 2 month later, I remain hopeful the treatment still have some more mileage to go. I'll try and eventually post before and after results. However, I can understand how shedding can be alarming to some, especially those who might be afraid of loosing their hairline. I was fortunate because I've bald for so long... Whatever I gained was a gift from God and I remain very thankful because of that. :innocent:
