To ColtsFan:

How do you apply the spironolactone 5% lotion on the hairline area where there's hair? I have a receding hairline but was wondering what do you do about the hair on the hairline where it's not thinning. Do you just stuff the cream on the scalp or...? Kind of confused what would be the best way to apply the spironolactone 5% cream onto the scalp area where there's hair.

I make parts on the sides (widows peak /highest points of the forhead) And sometimes I make a part down the middle.
Then I just kind of spread the cream down the parts, and along the the hairline just below the existing hair. I am using spironolactone primarily in my trouble spots (peaks of hair line, and little behind it, and my crown) because the proscar has taken care of the middle of my scalp hair pretty well.

The key is having a hydrated scalp and then finishing with some emu oil after applying my 12.5 minoxidil and spironolactone. Massaging all the the stuff in throught the scalp after concentrating on light massage in the widows peak areas nad crown. The emu helps to spread the cream throughout the scalp and help with absorption. Then I put on an old hat and I think it helps to w/ boby heat.

Even though I have a lot of hair, I use primarily cream based topicalls and I really think even with diffuse thining, if you put agood amount in your worst areas and them use emu oil, it kind of makes a viscous "spread" that with a good 5 minute massage gets the stuff all over my scalp.
