Hi all,
I can definitely add some compelling experience to this thread. Sadly, it is definitely not a positive experience.
FYI, I used to be a regular around this same board years back. It's been so long since I posted that I can't remember my old username tho. And the site wanted my username and email for pass recovery.
I've been using minoxidil for a long time, though right now I'm regreting it. Last night I had a big scare. I had just recieved my minoxidil 15% from an online distributor yesterday. Then last night I applied my minoxidil as normal not thinking twice about it since I had been doing it for so long. Well, let me tell you something alittle crazy.
That night was very rough. I managed to fall asleep, with alittle difficulty, and proceeded to have some very intense dreams. I woke up lots of times throughout the 5 hour period but the most alarming thing was that my left arm and left leg felt like they were not getting enough circulation and were going numb. I was pretty freaked, no doubt! Also for along time now (many years) I have been having slight heart pains. Starting to connect the dots here?
So back to my hellish night of rest last night. After I got up and was quite concerned. Feeling quite depressed by this time, I immediately got on the interent and starting searching my symptoms. During my online search, it hit me. I just tried my new bottle of minoxidil 15% last night; and the more I researched the possible of minoxidil the cause of my symptoms, the more it made sense.
I must admit, I'm feeling very relieved I have found the likely cause for my midnight episode but still very worried about the damage I may have caused my heart over the past 9-10 years. Needless to say, I have booked an appointment with my family doctor for next week. Contemptating on going into emerg as I write this.
Up until now I've been very happy with my minoxidil usage since my hair looks great and still great coverage. I know I would have a much bigger receeding hairline is it wasn't for minoxidil... but now at what cost???
My heart health is not worth the hair factor so I'm going to try to find an alternative. Any suggestions?
