I've been suspecting that I'm losing my hair for over a year now. I'm only nineteen and male, so at first I ignored it, then I went through denial about it but now I've accepted that its happening. My hairline isn't in too bad shape, but I've got what I believe is diffuse thinning throughout the top of my scalp. From reading posts on this page, I've gathered that modern preventative methods available are actually a lot more effective than I believed, but all say the same, the sooner you start the more chance you have of saving your hair.
So my question is this, who do I speak to in order to get the relevant tablets for preventing or slowing hair-loss? Do I make a doctors appointment or are there specialists I see? How do I know if the tablets I get put on will be any good as there's so many options? I'm determined to do anything I can to stop or slow-down the hair loss but not sure where to go or who to speak to. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for non-prescribed methods or preventing hair loss I'd very much appreciate it as there's so many options out there, its hard to distinguish what works from what doesn't.
