I have read numerous pages about the many benefits of green tea. Including the study with mice and how the mice on green tea retained and grew new hair compared to the mice who didn't.

Sites state that Green tea stops DHT binding??? which in effect is a DHT blocker. so I started drinking tanks full this week.

I then started reading sites that said it increases DHT and caused increase in baldness!!!

One site suggested that this was partly due to the floride in Green Tea and to opt for White Tea. (even healthier and no floride). Thus giving the beneifits of the polypholonics or whatever their called to help stop DHT.

Im confused!!! Anyone got any first hand experience with White Tea or Green Tea and if it helps or not??

Or any other thoughts would be appreciated??

Hopefully get some answers have re posted this as originally think i put it in the wrong forum. (need to know wether to stop drinking the white and green tea or not)?? any ideas greatly appreciated!

Cheers fellas

Somebody must have tried Green Tea???

Well I'm am avid Green Tea drinker. I drink 2-3 cups a day.

I don't just drink it because I think it'll save my hair. I like the taste and gives me a bit of an energy kick. I've been drinking it over the last 3 years.

I can't really say whether its made any difference to my hair.

I am wondering the same if green tea would be beneficial for treating baldness or just makes it worse.

There is a study that says that regular black tea lowers dht by 72%. Green tea is to believed it raises dht by 194% but consumed together with soy isoflavones dht could be lowered by 80%.

For myself, I started drinking green tea about 3 months ago 3 cups a day. The last month I noticed increased shed and itch. 2 weeks ago I gave up drinking green tea and the shedding and itching stopped.
