White hair - HELP

Hi

I am 22 years old and I have just recently noticed a bald patch at the top of my scalp and another one at the bottom. It is quiet large and I am very paranoid about it. Then about 2 weeks ago I noticed white hair growing back in. I have been to the doctor and he gave me shampoo which hasn't helped. Also I had blood tests done and they came back normal. I don't know what to do about it, does anyone know why this could be happening???

get some more information from the doctor you went to see.

or go see another doctor and get a referral to see a dermatologist

it *sounds* as if you have or had alopecia areata

I've read and been told that when new hairs grow back, they are likely to be colourless and very thin. I've not experienced that myself but it sounds like this has happened to you
