Which type? So much choice...

I've booked an appointment with my GP, hoping to get propecia prescribed. If that doesn't work though, I've come across a website. (unitedpharmacies.co.uk)It seems pretty good and reasonably priced. The only problem is there seems to be different types of propecia, different types of the same thing. What exactly is it that I want? Generic Propecia (Finasteride) 1mg?

On the website is says that 0.5 mg of Dutas (Duasteride) is more effective. Is this true? I really don't know much and would appreciate some advice.

Thanks.

Proscar is the same thing as Propecia but its 5mg instead of 1mg, so you have to cut it in 5 pieces, and the Finpecia is the same thing as Propecia in 1mg. I ordered Finpecia bucz i didnt want the hassle of cutting the pills in 5 pieces and having crushed tablets and so on, but its entirely your choice.

There hasnt been much research on side effects of Dutas so alot of people stay away from the drug as finasteride is more proven n is FDA approved

Ok, so I went to my GP today for prescription for propecia. I was half hoping the Doctor would say, but you're not going bald. Dont worry about it. Unfortunately that didn't happen.

So now I'm booked in for a bloodtest but after that hopefully I'll be on propecia. Fingers crossed it works. I'm growing my hair at the moment, really like it. Really hope I can carry on growing it without it looking stupid. :)
