Hy Chewbaca,

I do shed a lot - strange thing, only when I am washing my hair.
I also applied 5% minoxidil for the last 2 days instead of the normal 2%, then switched back to 2 %.
Any Idea if this causes shedding?

Appart from that; I am losing more hair now, as I never experienced shedding before, I assume it's propecia, as I heard a propecia shed is common around month 9.

I am on propecia for approx. nine and a half months and i continue to shed a lot of hair. Quite recently it seems to have calmed down (again) a bit.
Worst periods were month 3/4 and 8/9. On the other hand, they could have very well concurred with the autumn/ spring shed.

shed during month 1, at month 3, and then at month 6-7, currently losing practically no hair in shower or during the day at month 8.25.

I've been on finasteride for 2 1/2 weeks and pull out 6-7 hairs on every pull! And believe me....i am VERY thin on top (pics in the "tell your story section") I'm scared shitless, but determined to continue my treatment of course. I expected shedding, but not ni the first weeks!

it only lets you pick one month, so no, i thought that wouldn't be representative. unless of course i voted three times under different names :)
