Whey Protein, Fight vs Casue Hair Loss?

I realize this question has been brought up several times in the past, but I have not found a conclusive answer yet.

Some say whey protein concentrate (WPC) is good for your hair while whey protein isolate (WPI) is bad for your hair.
Some actually say all whey protein is bad, but I just do not understand the logic behind it.

Whey protein is full of amino acids like lysine, cysteine, arginine, methionine that some people think are the holy grail hair loss.
If that's true, shouldn't taking whey protein actually fight hair loss?

The other spectrum of argument says that high intake of amino acids leads to increase in testosterone.
However, I thought increase in testosterone does not necessarily increase DHT conversion. Maybe I am misinformed about this.

I am not talking about whey protein that contains creatine. I heard numerous bad comments on creatine for hair loss already.

Could somebody please explain or share stories on whey protein fighting vs causing hair loss?

I can't give you a good answer. Everything I've learned about hair loss + science tells me that whey shouldn't cause hair loss, but I feel it somehow set me back/accelerated my hair loss when I was on it. I can't explain it. I do not touch the stuff anymore which sucks because it so darn convenient.

I used WPC for few months when I was training for triathlon. I haven't noticed any negative effects on hair.

This is because maher isn't actually balding. Listen to your dermatologist.

high protein diet > high IGF-1 > low SHGB > high DHT

i dunno, i dont think whey matters

look at the fat body hairy, blading guy with a pot belly that ****s on the couch all day and eats straight up carbs like pizzza and chips all day, comapred to someone who goes to the gym and drinks a high protein diet, i really doubt it makes a difference

I think WPC may lead to hair loss, and here are the two reasons that I came across on the web. The source may not be trustworthy, so do not take my words for it.

1. Overload of amino acids speeds up hair cycle, causing follicles to fall out prematurely, leading to hair shedding/loss.
2. Impurities in protein products leads to hair loss.

In my opinion, 1 is more likely because 2 can be applied to just about any food we consume today.

blazingshotguns, its great for bodybuilding and general overall fitness

You can't even absorb half of that shake lol . Do you even take your protein with sugar to cause an insulin surge . If you don't than you have a lot to learn .
a human male that's not on steroids can only absorb .82 grams per lean mass

If you consuming enough protein with normal food that Shake isn't doing **** . I'm on steroids and I don't even take protein shakes such a waste of money . $50 I can get 2 bottles of testosterone or 1 bottle of tren
