Your temples are long gone but apparently you stopped its progression and regrew a very little bit. The forelock/frontal diffuse thining stopped to. I thinks there is clearly a progress.

1) What you can do , it to keep your hair and stop receding. You will not regrowth on the " dead zone " . Lost hairline hair is almost imposible to regrowth ( baldspot is usually much easier ) .
So, you must understand this to evaluate if there was a progress or not.

SO, what you should do is to keep all that hair that you have, not longer receding, and all this done it without side effects . And I am telling you this with 42 years and balding since 17 ! . So have a little experience on this.

Yeah I plan on stick with finasteride, I shaved my head and I hated the look. I want to get a hair transplant in the future to fix my temples. I think a hair transplant would be a good option for me as I usually have my hair long with a fringe, the artificial look most guys who comb their hair back and up in a quiff wouldn't be an issue for me.

Personally I'd say you're a Norwood 3.5 with great density right now. Keep taking your meds because without that thick forelock you'd be forced to shave your head.

You're around a Norwood 3. Looks like finasteride is helping maintain your current hair. I'd look into getting a transplant if you want to restore your temples as it doesn't look like you'll be seeing any regrowth on finasteride or even minoxidil.

Add a derma roller it’s cheap and effective.
