Where do these claims come from?

I am so tempted to try Rogaine, but I can't help but be off put by its suspected effects on the heart and blood. My crown is slowly getting worse and at 22 I feel very insecure about having a thinning crown, I can deal with the front recession however.

Have a read through these reports of side effects:
http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=20834&name=ROGAINE EXTRA STRENGTH (FOR MEN

Now I completely aware that the internet can be misleading and people can experience placebo sides, but surely all of these young men experiencing ED and other side effects can't just be coincidence or paranoia/placebo?

I can't help but that Minoxidil is having a negative effect on peoples blood circulation, which makes me very cautious to start using it.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Best way to know is to give it a shot for a couple of months. If you get sides, you'll know whitin the first few weeks. Rogaine works great, if you don't get any sides, you could save your crown/vertex.

On rogaine foam since may 2012 and no sides.

Have you seen much regrowth?

Little blonde/brownish hair all over my scalp and temples. The overall feel of all my hair has changed since i started minoxidil. I don't have more hair, they're just thicker/healthier/darker so it feels like i have more than before. Also, the male pattern baldness "itch" is completely gone....but i think it is the result of using nizoral, and not minoxidil. I can't tell, i always used nizoral with minoxidil?

Can't wait to see what it will look like in 8-10 months.

If minoxidil can help me keep what i have for the next 10 years i'll be more than happy (i'm in my mid 30's) !!

I see the problem of such forums over and over again: Because of 1% hysterical hypochondriacs cumulating here, people are scared to take fine products with minimal side effects.
