When Will Propecia Be Available as a Generic?

It's been over ten years since Propecia has been on the market in the United States. Does anyone know when they will come out with a US version of generic Propecia (1mg)? I've been using Finpecia from overseas and am patiently waiting for generic Propecia to become available and there isn't ever any news on it. Anyone know the deal? Thanks!

p.s. I know about Proscar but I would rather cut a pill in half and take .5mg than cut it in 4's or 5's.
