Did it undergo serious and long-term tests on its safety before it's approved by FDA?

When some men have higher DHT levels that cause hair loss, while some men do not.

Could it mean that some of us require higher DHT level to keep our whole body system healthy while

some do not? When some of us take Finasteride to decrease the DHT level for hair loss

reason, could it affect our other part of our body or long-term health, in addition to

sex drive or erection concerns.

Maybe I am thinking too much, but as far as I understand, higher DHT level is not a disease, nor

a disorder, it's just natural, but it causes hair loss as a result, I am concerned if decreasing our

DHT level with external medicine could affect our general health in long term.

When a medicine is approved by FDA, should it already be strictly considered everything a random unimportant someone like me can think of?

I have been taking 1mg Finasteride for two weeks and I know I have to take it for long term
if I want to save my hair. However, long-term health is a concern to me, not only the sex problem.
I am thinking if I should stop it or continue taking it
