two months on finasteride and it doesn’t seem my situation has improved. My right temple has been thinning and is significantly less dense than my left side. at what point should i get on duta?

You clearly didn’t do any research. Try fina for at least a year to 1.5 year, to evaluate what it did for you. The first months can look like your situation is going downhill, while in most cases it doesn’t. Still not any positive results like maintainance after more than a year? Then you could start thinking of duta.
