When To Stop Minoxidil (4 Months Into Treatment)?

Hey guys,

I've been applying the foam minoxidil to my hairline for 4 months now. I've had a bit of shedding in the first month but nothing too terrible. The only notable result I've seen so far is that my balding temples are covered with tons of short, little hairs. I'm assuming these are vellus hairs. However, I haven't seen any of my actual hairs along the hairline regrow.

Are the vellus hair a good indicator that I'm responding well to the Minoxidil? Is 4 months too early to call it quits?

Don't quit, its a lifetime treatment.

The vellus hairs are a sign you're responding. Even if you don't get regrowth it may keep you at baseline for a while or slow down loss enough to make it worth using. I would not stop
