When should we add minoxidil??

Hi!

I'm starting to see my scalp due to thin hair but I don't really have any bald spot yet but it's getting quite thin.

Actually, I'm on propecia, nizoral and folligen since 1 month. Should I add minoxidil 5% once a day???

How long the effect of minoxidil will last if you do it everyday??? 5 years, forever as long as you use it??

With both Propecia and minoxidil, once you stop the hair will drop.

It's up to you if you want to add minoxidil now. Be prepared for quite a hefty shed though. Also remember that you have to apply this sh*t for as long as you want to keep you hair. If your 20 and still want hair when your 36 like me then that's 16 years of hefty commitment everyday.

I dont think you've given your current regime enough of a chance. As Traxdata says minoxidil is much more of a commitment than other treatments so only use it as a last resort.

Give the propecia 6 months - 1 year and then reassess.

Both finasteride and minoxidil require long-term commitment and you lose what you got whhen you stop.

its up to you man. if you think that you need to regrow a lot of hair then minoxidil will be a neccessary measure. If you like the amount of hair that you have now and would be satisfied with keeping the current hair with a slight amount of hair regrowth then stick with the propecia and then reassess. its all subjective.
