I'm a long time minoxidil user who just started propecia last month. I might be crazy, but I noticed a lot of tiny white fuzz coming in wherever my hair is thin. However, my entire face has always been covered with microscopic white fuzz (as I hope is the case with everyone else), so I'm not sure if it's just that or actual new hairs. The stuff around my balding areas does seem to be longer and I certainly never noticed it before. Could these be the new hairs I've been hoping for?
When regrowth first comes in, are the hairs usually white?

Same thing happened to me. I'm also a long time minoxidil user and started finasteride a little over 3 months ago. I saw improvements right from the beginning starting with peach fuzz growth on a previously slick bald spot, some of which is darkening. Overall my hair is coming in thicker and healthier looking and I think possibly the density on top may be improving. This is all really happening very quickly and I am quite shocked to be honest, I really didn't expect to observe much happening so soon even with the synergistic effect when combined with minoxidil.

to be honest with you, this sounds extrememly premature and more then likely is not new hairs caused by propecia, however.. yes, if and when new hairs are grown it makes sense they would take the form of velous hairs initially.
