When Is The Right Time To Begin With Minoxidil?

I have begun using finasteride one week ago.

I have heard that minoxidil works best in combination with finasteride. Does this mean I should wait a bit longer to begin applying minoxidil to my hairline, which is where I have experienced the minor thinning which prompted me to begin treatment?

I ask because they say finasteride is an enabler, minoxidil a stimulant. Should I wait until DHT levels are significantly more controlled before putting such a harsh substance on my hair?

You should use anything and everything with scientific proof.

It's not a waste of time. The worst case, it won't work. Some people respond well to Minoxidil, some don't
even have any response.

It could give you dandruff, if you use a cheap liquid solution. That's probably as bad as it
will ever get.

Personally I think everyone should wait a year on finasteride alone before added in minoxidil. finasteride might give the results you want by itself. I would only add in minoxidil right away if you have very significant hair loss.
