For example, they say a cure for hair loss doesnt exist yet but for years people been getting hair transplants. Its supposed to be permanent and grow just like your normal hair. How is that not a cure?

It would be if we had donor regeneration. - Or any other means of obtaining a limitless supply of donor hair.

because your original hair still goes and leaves transplanted hair all whispy and gappy, and as above poster said, we dont have enough donors to replicate a full head of hair.

For me a "cure" for hairloss would be something that:

1. Regrows/regenerates hair from dead and dying follicles

2. Stops future balding

3. Does not require extensive or lifelong treatment (1-2 procedures instead of needing it once a week or the balding starts again, etc)

Anything else is a "treatment".

I would be happy with a really good treatment though, I think any of us would.
