When does a shed start?

I can't find any posts with this info. I know the duration of a shed varies, but what is the normal time for a shed to start with minoxidil? Can it start within a day/days?

you said it yourself. it varies. I remembered when I applied minoxidil, I tend to lose more hair...so losing within few days for using minoxidil is possible

So you noticed shedding right away? Do you think it was a "shed" or something else? I noticed a significant increase in fallout the very first day that has continued, even though I've gone down to 2% once a day. And now, if I pull on my hair it seems to just all come out, with some scalp starting to show. It's now a little over a week.

So, even with extra fallout/shedding, do you feel there are gains? Do you feel that increased hairloss doesn't equal less hair?

What have others experienced? I don't remember this being the case when I first used it years ago.
