When do side effects show on finasteride?

About how long do I need to wait until I know if side effects are likely to show up? I don't feel anything yet but it's only been a few weeks.
Also is drinking expected to be a bad decision when taking it, because I see on the bottle some warning about liver function, and I usually like to get pretty drunk a few times a week...

Usually 3 months in at most.

Yes, don't drink while on finasteride. Both increase liver enzymes and just putting more load.

At least do tests every now and then, and take a liver supplement.
